How to confirm Stator Needle Winding Way

How to confirm Stator Needle Winding Way? Below is a example between Wind Automation and Client S from Turkey,

Dear S

Please check attached drawing which we marked with slot no.,

and please confirm if below winding way is OK for you,

1st  : 1, 3, 5 slots

2nd: 4, 6, 8 slots

3rd: 7, 9, 11 slots

4th: 10, 12, 2 slots

Looking forward to your reply!

Dear Emily;

Please note that this is three phase motor with four coils placed inside twelve slots.

Your request is not acceptable. Please follow our winding way.

Dear S,

Thanks for your email,

Your winding diagram shows Red, Yellow, Blue are one coil , and there are four coils,

We understand that,

In 12poles BLDC stator winding, there are major two ways, One way is

1st Winding : 1,2,3

2nd Winding: 4,5,6

3rd Winding: 7,8,9

4rd Winding: 10,11,12

The other one is

1st  : 1, 3, 5 slots

2nd: 4, 6, 8 slots

3rd: 7, 9, 11 slots

4th: 10, 12, 2 slots

As your stator ID is small, if we use the first winding way, the nozzles are two close for arraying wire layering,

If use the second winding way, the nozzles have more space and can achieve more better excellent layering, Also, the result are four coils inside twelve slots(Red,Yellow,Blue are one coil too )

Attached is a example of the wound stator with the second winding way,

Hope I made myself clear and in my email attachment dated May 5th the slots 3,6,9,12 was not printed fully as the yellow color ink of printer runned out which might cause confusion,

Looking forward to your reply!

Dear Emily;

Your explanations are not clear for us.  Could you please prepare us winding diagram for both alternatives to make it clear.

Best regards.

Dear S,

I enclosed the two winding way for comparision, please check,

Any question please contact me!

Dear Emily;

It is clear now. Your machine winds three coils at same time with three needles.

Winding way 2 provides more place for needles.

We confirm your proposal. It does not change winding diagram of the stator.

Best regards.

Dear S,

Thanks for your email,

Please check below my reply about your questions,

1. I enclosed the winding machine video with how to place stator and how to take out after winding,

2. Please refer to the number of turns ' 27 '  in the end of the video which indicated

3. We understand your thickness of isolator will not be decreased,

    and the isolator quality must be better and smooth and will not have burr, right?

May I know what kind of test do you like to take for your stator?

We have testing machine which can indicate the wound quality,

If you need us to test the wound stator and show to you, please inform the  detail testing requirement including Surge (Coil to Coil)voltage  and Hi pot (Coil to Stack) voltage,

Thank you!
